Top 5 Must Haves for autumn/winter!

Lets face it, not everyone can afford to buy a whole new wardrobe for every season, and with autumn/winter round the corner I've picked the top 5 things you'll need to make your wardrobe on trend for this coming season. (look out for posts on how to style each piece)

The first essential is anything army, camo style print, and what better than getting a winter coat following this trend while getting something you need?! topshop and zara have plenty right now but ive picked out my ultimate favourite!

Fur lined camo jacket, topshop- £75

The second is a trend that you can show through shoes, tops, nails and even makeup. its the galactic space print. Merky mixes of blues, greens and purples with subtle glitter and black. i picked out these leggings as they can be dressed up and down.

Next is a top that can literally be work with anything, and its showing the trend of 'collar tips' which is a great way to show embellishment in a more subtle, grungy way. not to mention it goes with the leggings i showed previously!

Second last is something small, grungy and makes me get all excited about winter thinking about it, its a dip dye beanie and will look amazing on anyone, i have no words. (also available in khaki & beige)

The last and not least is the most versatile on the lot, and something I've just treated myself too. 'Vans' are a huge trend right now, they come in all different colours and styles and are super duper comfy. you can also custom make yours online at the vans website. i just bought the black ones as they are super simple and will go with everything.

Lookbook;styles of the now!

So right now styles consist of studs, leather and different prints and dyes of fabrics. mix textures and colours to create a cult look for yourself!

Look #1

                              

As i mention previously, mixing textures is eye catching but subtly doing it will make your look perfect all round and easier to wear. I styled my model, holly in a denim shirt and lace shorts for a classic but modern style, then added a pair of floral doc martens to toughen up the look.

Look #2

I based look 2 on a way to toughen up floral prints to keep them on trend and mix the look up a little, simply but pairing a leather jacket with a floral playsuit. Try simple black or brown rope, hippie style necklaces and big rings. not forgetting a pretty pair of wedges (the shoes of the now!!)

You may look at this 3rd style and think its pretty 'tumblr' and yes, but tumblr is full of people with a great style. This picture is showing the simple jewellery and doc martins (any chunky or biker style boots are so perfect for this season) with an ombré jumper which also has studs on the shoulders, the most perfect, jaw dropping mix of styles and textures.

Cheat your way to a summer body!

All girls have that frantic panic near summer because we all want that model bikini body. Women will try all types of crazy diets just for their idea of looking good in a bikini, but what if I told you their was an easy way to burn more calories safely and efficiently?







Your metabolism is the rate at which you burn & digest food. The faster your metabolism the more calories that will be burnt with no exercise. Males tend to have a faster metabolic rate but there is easy ways to speed this up, which means you'll be burning More calories by the minute!





I'm sharing 5 ways to speed up your metabolism temporally, so incorporate this into your everyday lifestyle and your one step closer to looking fabulous in a bikini!




Tip 1- Stay hydrated.
Try to drink around 8-10 glasses of water a day, not only is it good for your skin, hair and nails but its good for your speedy metabolism too. When you dehydrate your metabolic rate rapidly decreases, try drinking it before and during a meal, this way its easy to keep track of.

Tip 2- Positively Spicy!
This tip is perfect for people like me who love spicy food! They contain chemical compounds which temporally boost your metabolic rate. So add chopped up chillies or chilli powder to pasta sauces, meat marinades and other meals for a kick!

Tip 3- Tone up your muscles!
Muscles burn about 6 calories a day just to sustain itself without moving, where as fat only burns 2. Toning your muscles through sit up and other muscle endurance exercises will also boost your metabolism and adding this to your lifestyle will also help to increase your average daily metabolic rate.

Tip 4 - Green tea crazy.
Green tea is not only good for your skin, hair and helps to fight/prevent cancer and heart problems, but it also boosts your metabolism and gives it a good kick! So get brewing!


Tip 5 - Avoid Crash diets!
This one is an essential for speeding up your metabolic rate. Do NOT crash diet! it may be effective for dropping a few pounds but will cause you to gain even more weight after because its takes the weight from muscles, and the lower the mass of muscle, the slower your metabolic rate will be.

Project Summer;DIY Dip Dye Shorts!

Want to follow the dip dye trend? want something original but fun? Then heres something you should defiantly try! I've always wanted a pair of distressed, fun, dip dye denim shorts but never found a pair that i absolutely loved enough to actually purchase them. So I came up with a way to turn any old shorts into amazing new ones that will revamp your wardrobe for this summer! Lets get started!..

What You'll need..
-Boiling water
-Rubber Gloves
-Salt
-Dye (I chose Turquoise and purple)
-Wooden spoon
-Bowl
-pair of shorts










First Step- Colour One.

1- dissolve a good amount of salt into boiling water.

2- put in dye and dissolve that in water too

3- place the desired amount of fabric into the dye (i did about half way up)and soak in the liquid for a good 10-15 minutes.

4- hang on the washing line while you clean the bowl/boil more water and prepare second dye.






Second step- colour Two.

1- Dissolve more salt in boiling water and dissolve second dye in clean bowl/bucket.

2- Clip the shorts to the bowl while dying the reming parts of the shorts you didn't dye with the first colour.

3- leave to soak for the same amount of time and hang out on the washing line to dry.

Third Step!!

When the shorts are Completely Dry, just do the usual wash in the washing machine and tumble dry them. Now they're ready!!

Extra tips..

- Always wear Gloves & old clothes, it can get messy!!
- Make sure you have enough time and don't rush it, or it won't be as good!
- you don't have to use all of the dye at once, it will be a waste of dye and you can save it for any other things!
- Get creative!!

Summer Shirts!

Hi again, fashion fanatics,

Summer is fast approaching and the beautiful weather britain has been having lately drove me to turn my casual A/W clothing into breezy summer styles. I've been wearing shirts more often and experimenting with new wasps to style them and different pieces to wear with them. 

(All Pieces are from topshop, Abercrombie or Hollister. Prices vary)

Outfit 1 Features a denim shirt from which is used to layer over high waisted shorts and a denim bralet.The Denim on denim is really on trend and fashion forward as with the acidic pink coloured shorts and Rihanna styled top.

The second is a sweet 'girl next door' look with a white crochet skirt, lace top and a blue striped shirt over the top to give a breezy pretty look to the outfit.

The 3rd is a super cute neutral and navy outfit with a pop of pink on the lips and through the plaid. i just used this as s sub for a jacket or cardigan.

The last is a super cute red and navy look that has a cute nautical theme everyone will love. Its a more causal but gorge look that mixes materials and textiles.

Top Picks: Breezy spring clothing (Ft- Topshop)

So the spring season is away to hit us and this years styles are right up my street. The styles will last you all spring and follow up through summer. you can also carry them on through the colder months by wearing tights or layering them up. I picked out some of my favourites. I'll try and get my hands some spring clothes for a proper post about it!

The First Item is a pair of shorts that will compliment all shapes and sizes, go with many pieces already in your wardrobe. They also follow last years 'dip die' trend thats making a comeback.

Time Lapse;Modern Accessories

Over the past few years technology has improved more than anyone would have imagined, especially thanks to steve jobs who sadly passed away last year and all his designers at apple. this wasn't just a craze for all the technology geeks and apple obsessor's, It's now caused a stir for many people who love to show they're style. 

Cases for the iPhone's are now everywhere. They look good and protect your phone so whats not to love?   

I wanted to do a review on a case that i bought from 'Play;Bling' , they specialise in using swarovski elements and they are all handmade. heres the one purchased for my own phone.

Its came in a cute box with a protective velvet soft case to keep it nice and spare Swarovski crystals. It also promise that after a year you can send it back and get any crystals or anything fixed as long as they don't think it was intentionally broken. The case i chose was around £35, pretty good deal I'd say!

The case i chose is a white glossy finish hard plastic with a strip of black lace up the side. It has black Swarovski crystals up one side of the lace and subtle rainbow ones on the lace at the other side. its gorgeous!

I would recommend these phone cases as there not overpriced and there still stunning!

Look Good for valentines!

Valentines day is coming up and its a day to spend with loved ones. Whether thats a relationship, family or just friends. Here is some outfits for valentines to give some ideas. The best style is to stay sweet but sultry. Mixing lace and studs with nudes and reds is the perfect way!

The First is a super dressy occasion outfit with a lace dress, satin grey eased shoes and some delicate jewellery.

Theres nothing quite like looking good. Theres also nothing like feeling good either and finding the both can be quite a tricky challenge if you don't know where to start. I'v put together 3 outfits that should get you all on the right track! hop you all enjoy!

 (<--The first outfit) is comfy rocker chic and has green skinny jeans that are super soft and stretchy for extra comfort and a slouchy but stylish jumper. The accessories consist of a studded black leather belt and a tiffany necklace for a hint of elegance. I also added my new favourite boots that are black leather with studded toes. this outfit is casual, stylish and comfortable, perfect for any day!

In this day and age, tv is watched throughout the world and loved by many. television is fast becoming a fictional catwalk and digital closet for our styles. Take gossip girl and pretty little liars? theres always idea on how to dress like you favourite characters!
